Thinking about a toilet seat as something that you … well, just sit on, is so old-fashioned, it seems. The Washlet is an entire personal cleansing unit, that virtually does away with the need for toilet paper. There are four main Washlet models: starting with the C110 — the “entry-level” version — and progressing through the E200, the S300 and the S400 for the ultimate in a spa type experience in your own bathroom.

A Bidet-Toilet Seat– And More

The basic feature of all the Washlet models is a nozzle or wand that extends from underneath the back of the seat to provide a soothing, cleansing jet of warm water and which automatically cleans itself after every use. The jet can be programmed to move back and forth as the user desires. Add to that a soft close seat that can be heated to the temperature required and you have a remarkably comfortable and luxurious bathroom accessory.

The Washlet C110 is the only model that does not currently incorporate a warm air dryer — a feature a that the E200, the S300 and the S400 all have. The S models also have an air purifier designed to quickly eliminate any lingering toilet odor.

This means that you may no longer need any other air fresheners that you normally keep in the bathroom. Plus, the deodorizing fan creates a discreet “noise camouflage” effect that you may appreciate if there are guests or other people outside in the vicinity of the toom!

The S400 — the top of the range — is designed to work exclusively with select Toto toilet models, and features an extraordinary “intuitive” design, with a lid that rises automatically as you approach, descends as you leave, and flushes hands-free automatically.

Washlets are available in elongated as well and round toilet seat sizes and come with a lid, mounting hinges and connection hardware in the package.
